Criminal Defence Barrister, Brian Bourke Chambers

Simon Kenny is a criminal defence barrister. He appears in trials and other indictable criminal proceedings.

From 2004 to 2010, he practised as a solicitor, mainly at the Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service (CAALAS) in Alice Springs and then briefly at the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service (VALS) and Victoria Legal Aid in Melbourne.

He is passionate about legal aid in the Asia Pacific region and has worked pro bono in Indonesia, Nauru, and Myanmar. He also volunteers from time to time as a trainer with BABSEACLE, an access to justice and legal training NGO based in Vientiane, Laos, operating across Asia.

He is on the Victoria Legal Aid Criminal Trial Preferred Barrister List and holds an Indictable Crime Certificate.
