The Future Lawyers Skills Program

Date: 16 – 20 July 2024

Foreign Trade University, Hanoi, Vietnam

From September 16th to 20th, 2024, the Future Lawyer Skills Training was successfully held at the Foreign Trade University (FTU) in Hanoi, Vietnam. Co-organized by DLA Piper and BABSEACLE, this intensive 5-day program brought together law students from universities across Vietnam, all with a shared goal of enhancing their legal skills and understanding the profound impact of pro bono work.

The training offered a comprehensive curriculum covering essential topics such as the Rule of Law, Access to Justice, and the role of legal professionals in promoting these values through pro bono efforts. Beyond practical skills, participants gained insight into their responsibilities as future lawyers, with a strong emphasis on giving back to society and championing justice.

For BABSEACLE, promoting pro bono work, access to justice, and the rule of law through education is at the heart of our mission. We’re incredibly proud to have played a role in facilitating these meaningful discussions. This year’s training also marks our 12th year of partnership with FTU, a collaboration that continues to grow stronger with each passing year.

Thanks to the Foreign Trade University for their unwavering support as the local host and to DLA Piper for leading this initiative. Together, we are advancing access to justice, the rule of law, and a sense of professional responsibility among the next generation of legal professionals.
