Anand Grover is a senior advocate practicing in the Supreme Court of India and a former UN Special Rapporteur (UNSR) on the Right to Health (2008-2014). He co-founded the India based legal aid organization Lawyers’ Collective with Indira Jaising in 1981. Through his work with Lawyers’ Collective he has, amongst others, actively advocated for and represented human rights defenders including those jailed on false charges related to terrorism including the Bhima Koregan cases and several cases related to persons who have been arraigned for drug possession and uses.

He is currently a member of the Global Commission on Drug Policy.
