Miriam Chinnappa
Centre for Law and Transformative Change (CLTC) – Executive Director and Co-founder
Miriam Chinnappa is the Executive Director and Co-founder of the Centre for Law and Transformative Change (CLTC), a non-profit organisation registered in Brussels and the United Kingdom, and the Director of Partners for Law and Sustainable Development (PLSD), a legal and justice reform and development consulting firm. With over 26 years of experience in rule of law, justice, and organisational leadership, Miriam has provided strategic, executive-level guidance and leadership across Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Her work is rooted in the belief that legal and justice systems can and must serve as powerful catalysts for transformative social and systemic change, with people at the centre. She has designed, led, and managed large-scale justice programmes, advising governments, investors, rule of law institutions, and civil society organisations.
Miriam is deeply committed to ensuring fair trials are not viewed as aspirational ideals, but as instinctive, non-negotiable pillars embedded in the very fabric of justice institutions. Through CLTC, she has been supporting key initiatives in Asia to advance this vision where fair trial rights are not the exception, but the norm, the movement, and the minimum.
