Shon Lae
Legal Coordinator, International Bridges to Justice – IBJ (Myanmar)
Shon Lae earned her Master of Laws degree from Taunggyi University in 2013. Since then, she has been deeply involved in the legal field, particularly in advancing legal aid and promoting the rule of law in Myanmar. From 2016 to 2018, Shon served as a Project Manager at the Southern Shan State CSO Network, where she actively contributed to various initiatives aimed at improving access to justice in the region.
In 2018, Shon transitioned to International Bridges to Justice (IBJ), where she initially supported the organization in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) efforts and enhancing case management systems within the justice centers. Following her tenure at IBJ, Shon assumed the role of Technical Coordinator & Trainer at IDEA Myanmar, where she further honed her skills in legal advocacy and capacity building.
In 2022, Shon returned to IBJ as a Legal Coordinator. In this capacity, she provides vital support and coordination to the justice centers, pro bono lawyers, and law students affiliated with IBJ. Shon’s extensive experience and dedication to advancing justice and legal rights make her an invaluable asset to IBJ’s mission in Myanmar.
