C.P. Shruthi

Senior Mitigation Associate, Project 39A

Shruthi is a Senior Mitigation Associate at Project 39A, National Law University Delhi. She has drafted over 20 social investigation reports and life history notes towards legal representation of death row prisoners at the appellate stage over a period of three and a half years as a part of the legal defense team. She graduated in Sociology from Delhi University in 2015 and completed her Masters in Social Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in 2016. Prior to joining Project 39A in 2020, she worked as a consultant with KPMG’s Government Advisory wing on a NITI Aayog project evaluating centrally sponsored schemes of various ministries. Shruthi has worked with UNESCO on a project aiming to develop country-specific journalistic guidelines to cover sexual violence and rape in India. She has also been involved in designing and conducting training workshops for Delhi Police officials on gender sensitization.
